Pops

This is what my dad looks like on newsprint.

Love Letters

My favorite public art project in a long time. Public art usually sucks big time but Steve Powers rocked it.

More here.

Stun Guns

This is the installation I did for the RISD Museum two years ago. The guns are made out of polystyrene foam. I still have a couple of them if anyone is interested.

The Cake Taker

Of all of the pieces painted for Primary Flight this year I think Rime's takes the cake. With the Miami silhouette in the background, and the "styleism" tag in the upper right I think this is one of his sickest pieces. And it says "Graffiti"! Awesome.

Check out the other pieces here.

In celebration of the legendary New York City bar's 20 year anniversary, Aaron Bondaroff, Al Moran and Ulli Rimkus bring the downtown institution Max Fish to Miami for the week of Art Basel. Taking over a functioning bar space in downtown Miami, the team will be recreating an art installation out of the core elements of the Lower East Side location and importing it's colorful cast of characters for the week. With a prime location downtown Miami, it will most definitley be the common meeting point for Art Basel attendees and act as the main clubhouse for all of the creative community during the fair week. A full lineup of live bands and dj's will be performing nightly during ther week as well as movie screenings in an outdoor space.

Typoe Tcp (pondering)

First day of Art Basel. Woo hoo. If you're in Miami right now you might have noticed a lot of murals being painted around Wynwood and the Design District. They're all part of a mural show being curated by my buddy Typoe. The pics above are from last year, and this years' work promises to be even better. Check out their website:

Cat and a Rat

This is Ebled and Murkee when they were young. The vet said there was a pretty good chance that Ebled would try to eat Murkee when they met but their first introduction went very well. They played rough sometimes but they were great friends. We miss you Murkee!

DEVIL'S DISCIPLE

Neckface's show on halloween was pretty sweet. He built a haunted house and a halfpipe. How cool is that? He also showed a bunch of new watercolors, most of which he painted on a table I made for him. Yeah yo. There are pictures of the event here:

Wet Paint

The first thing I remember knowing,
Was a lonesome whistle blowing,
And a younguns dream of growing up to ride
On a freight train leaving town,
Not knowing where I'm bound,
No one could change my mind but Mama tried.

BEST MOVIE EVER

"Manic Nurses Find Ecstacy" How do they do it? Drugs? Violence? Sexual deviancy? ALL OF THE ABOVE. I'll bet Richard Prince would be so into this.

Happiness

"When I was 5 years old my mom always told me that happiness was the key to life.  When I went to school they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up.  I wrote down "happy.  They told me I didn't understand the assignment and I told them they didn't understand life."

BIG CIGS

I did this about three years ago.  I made these big cigarettes and put them where people usually toss their butts.  If you look in the last picture you can see a ton of butts in the top middle of the pic.  Hahaha.  The reactions were priceless.
